Hornet Classic is a go for tomorrow!

We have a critical mass to ski in the Hornet Classic tomorrow, so we are heading up!  Skiers and their start times are:

Race details:

• Skiers will do 3 laps on a 1.5K loop
• Individual starts every 15 seconds
• Girls begin at 12:00, Boys begin at 1:30

More info:

• One van leaving Desert Rd at 8:45.
• Skiers not riding in the van should arrive by 10:00 (girls) or 11:30 (boys).

• Return time is expected around 4:00.  Kids can call with exact return time from the road.
• There are no indoor facilities, so bring warm clothes/mittens/etc. for before and after racing.

What to bring:

• All race gear - race suit, new hat, buff, race CLASSIC skis, boots and poles
• Underlayers
• Warm clothes
• Food for the entire day
• Water

Since the weather forecast is looking poor for the next couple days, it is questionable as to whether we will race (or even ski) next week.  The primary goal of this race is just to keep kids skiing and being out on the snow.  Team members not racing this weekend should still try to get out on snow on Saturday, before it rains.
