The Telstar race - a 3K skate race - will take place tomorrow. The location is Telstar High School - 284 Walkers Mills Rd, Bethel, which is right on Rt. 26.
There is a relay portion of this event, along with an individual section. We will have skiers in both. The updated schedule is:
11:00 - All relays
12:00 - All individuals not in relays
Awards and tights giveaway to follow.
Our two relay teams are:
Fiona A, Tucker, Olivia, Eli
Louise, Thomas, Emma, Dylan
Our skiers in the individual race are:
Calvin, Nash, Avery, Quinn
We will have a van (or two) leaving Desert Rd at 8:15 am (note new time), so arrive by 8:05 am. Anyone needing a ride on the van MUST send Susan an email (highschool@mainecoastwaldorf.org) by this afternoon at 5:00. If you don't reserve a spot on the van, you won't have a seat. Also, if something changes from your end such that you won't be attending this race at all, be sure to let Susan know.
If you are providing your own ride to Telstar, you should plan to arrive by 10:00 am.
Know that between the travel, multiple race times, and the awards and tights give-away at the end, this will be an multi-hour affair. Since the race times have changed, the van may return by 3:30. Kids can call home from the van with their return time.
As a reminder, here is what everyone should bring on Saturday (and to all races!):
• All of your race gear - race suit, hat, buff, race skate skis, boot and poles, and warm up skate skis
• Underlayers
• Warm jackets/pants for before/after skiing
• Food for yourself for the entire day - snacks, lunch, late lunch
• Water bottle
