Possible Saturday Race

First, thanks to all the parents that came to the race yesterday, either cheering or helping or both!  The race went off without a hitch and it seemed everyone had a great time!

Looking ahead, the Hornet Classic is being held this Saturday at Quarry Rd in Waterville.
This race was not on our original schedule but, since it looks like we may lose the snow with the predicted weather this weekend, we are considering this race on Saturday.  Details are:

• This is a CLASSIC race
• We believe it is ~5K
• Girls race at 12:00, Boys at 1:30.
• The course will be on a man made snow loop
• The location is about an hour away and van transportation will be provided, leaving Desert Rd at 8:45

This is not a mandatory race, however we do need a head count tonight or first thing Friday morning of who is interested and available.  Skiers should talk it over with their parents and let Susan know via email tonight or in person early Friday morning if they want to attend this race.  The number of interested/available skiers will determine if making this trip is worthwhile, so we are not definitely going until we receive confirmation from skiers.

So, no pressure, just seeing if there are skiers that might be interested in another race.  It's also hard to say whether or not we will lose the snow this weekend or if enough will stay such that skiing and racing can continue next week.

If we don't hear from you, we will assume you are not interested in this race.
