Maranacook Waves Info

Race Info:
Freestyle, 5K. Wave start by grade (seniors first, then juniors, etc.). There will be 6 to 8 skiers per
wave depending on the number of entrants.

Race Times: 11:00 am Girls, 12:30 pm for Boys

Transportation:

• Vans will be leaving Desert Rd at 8:30 AM. Anyone wanting a ride on a van MUST let Susan know by Friday at 3:00 PM. If you don't request a ride on the van, don't count on a seat on the van.
• The vans will return to Desert Rd after the race, probably arriving around 3:00ish. Kids can call from the van with more exact timing.
• Van riders should bring just the skis they will use today, as space for skis is tight.

Skiers getting themselves to the race should arrive no later than:
     10:00 - Girls
     11:00 - Boys

***Driving note - There is a march in Augusta that may impact traffic, so be sure to build in some extra time***

Facilities:
There IS indoor space at the Maranacook School.
There IS water available.
There ARE indoor bathrooms.
There is not food available for purchase, so everyone should bring plenty of food to sustain them throughout the day.

What to Bring:

• SKATE skis, boots and poles
• Race suit
• Warm clothes for before and after your race
• Hat/gloves/etc.
• Lunch/snacks
• Water bottle
